What is the Added Security solution developed by V-Ex Digital for online events?
The Added Security solution developed by V-Ex Digital takes a unique piece of data from the profile information a conference delegate provides when registering to attend the event, (typically an email address or user ID) and generates a unique identifying image or alphanumeric key for each registration identity.
This image or sequence is then stitched into the pixels displaying in the browser window by dynamic image fingerprinting security software. It’s invisible to the naked eye and difficult to remove. If a still image or video file is captured or recorded from a browser window displaying this event, then the file can be instantly traced back to the individual user.
It is designed to help prevent careless or unintentional informational security breaches, not determined espionage.
Can I use the Added Security solution for any online event?
Yes, providing it is being hosted on the V-Ex Platform, the Added Security solution can be applied to any event delivered online where delegates register their information in order to attend.
The advice on how to view online events more responsibly from a data security point of view can also be included on any V-Ex experience regardless of registration status.
What is the V-Ex Platform?
The V-Ex Platform is a modular software suite used to host a range of browser experiences, usually hyper-real 3D spaces used for guided sales, product showrooms, online retail, conference events and education.
It was designed from the outset to offer a way to deliver a fully interactive Digital Twin of any physical environment used for large events such as showrooms, trade shows or conferences with thousands of visitors.
Powerful backend analytics offer data on visitor traffic and site engagement to deliver vital feedback and generate sales leads. Today, many of the world’s largest companies rely on the V-Ex Platform to support their virtual portfolio.
Where is registration data stored?
How much does the Added Security solution cost to implement?
The Added Security solution can be included with any online event hosted on the V-Ex Platform and has a guide price starting from £2,500 for a small event requiring no custom integration with other platforms.
How does a delegate know they are attending a more secure online event?
There will be a banner across the bottom edge of the browser window stating that “You are viewing an added security online event hosted on the V-Ex Platform.”
Can delegates access information on how to act more securely while attending an online event?
Yes, delegates are asked to:
“take extra care not to directly capture or record your screen – or allow your screen to be indirectly captured or recorded. Avoid viewing this event in a public place, on an unsecured network or anywhere where a third party could observe your screen.
Any browser window displaying this event will have a unique fingerprint dynamically incorporated into the screen image which can be instantly traced back to the individual user.
Any image or recording of this event that is released to the general public or passed to any group or individual not cleared by security to view or possess it will be regarded as a breach of event security protocol.”

The solution is scalable with the registration system selected, so technically there is no maximum limit on the number of attendees.

Absolutely it can look real, we base all our online environments and content on architecturally exact real-world dimensions.
Can I design my own venue?
Yes, you can, this can involve everything from developing a mood-board and briefing our design team to producing cinema quality 3D environments of your own, if you have access to the skills and resources.
Does the V-Ex platform integrate with other registration platforms and CRM solutions?
Yes, most mainstream registration systems and CRM software can be connected to a V-Ex event via an API. We have a large number of these integrations already available and an in-house development team working on new ones all the time.
