V-Ex Virtual Exhibitions is proud to announce a new partnership with new Welsh rallying sensation Sara Williams. V-Ex will be featured on Sara’s iconic Group N Subaru Impreza N12 rallying machine for the first time during Wales Rally GB from the 13thNovember. Having won outright two regional rallies already, this will be Sara’s first international event at World Rally Championship level, making it a day of debuts for all participants.
Sara will be dealing with a hazardous environment for three days, navigating 192 miles of North Wales at break neck speed with her co-driver, Patrick Walsh. V-Ex is delighted to support someone who is changing the accepted view of national motorsport. Supporting Sara and her convention changing career embodies V-Ex’s commitment to the same revolutionary ideals that have served the company so well.
‘This is the chance I have been waiting for’, says Sara, ‘I’ve acquitted myself well on the Welsh Rally GB national event each year from 2010 to 2012, so competing in the international event this year is a major step for me and my co-driver. We’re really looking forward to the event’. Sara will be the only British female driver competing at WRC level in the whole rally.
Sara has shown impressive pace throughout her career, using her driving expertise to become regarded as one of the best young British drivers in the country. In recent years Sara has triumphed at the 2013 Red Kite Rally and the Swansea Bay Rally; in the process breaking a 30 year wait since the last outright rally win for a female driver in the UK.
V-Ex specialises in producing interactive 3D environments and graphics for promotional purposes, creating distinctive and unique user experiences for advertising and education. As part of the DMA Group of companies V-Ex is also a partner to the DMA Europa PR team who have provided media support for Sara in the past.
DMA Europa Group MD, Roland Renshaw comments, ‘We have had the pleasure of working with Sara on behalf of another sponsor in the recent past and have good links with the automotive market, so we were really pleased to get the opportunity to become a sponsor ourselves. We know Sara is fast and consistent, with a very calm head and we know how successful she can be, so, even though this is short notice, we’ve made a commitment to work with Sara into next season if all goes well.’
Producing photorealistic graphics and animations for customers does have parallels with the precision and fine margins found in rallying. Versatility and expertise are of the highest premium in both cases, to ensure a successful project, or a stage win.
Teamwork and communication further grease the gearbox of success, and guarantee a consistency of direction. A business partnership should always embody the trust, dialogue and shared experience between a rally driver and their co-driver. V-Ex however cannot hurl a car through Welsh forests at motorway speed, or repair it afterwards, so that will be left to Sara and her team!
The best of luck to her from everyone at V-Ex.
